Botox® and Dysport® are neuromodulator treatments designed to temporarily reduce the activity of specific muscles that cause dynamic facial lines. By gently relaxing targeted muscles, the treatment softens the appearance of wrinkles while preserving a natural range of facial expression.
Common cosmetic areas include frown lines between the brows, forehead lines, and crow’s feet. Depending on your facial anatomy and treatment goals, neuromodulators may also treat bunny lines, chin dimpling, brow positioning, corners of the mouth, and other selected concerns.
At SkinAura, every treatment is customized following a professional assessment of your facial movement, anatomy, skin condition, and aesthetic goals.
The SkinAura approach: Refined. Precise. Natural. We emphasize facial harmony, balanced dosing, and precision, so you look refreshed without looking over-treated.
Botox Cosmetic is intended for adults. Health Canada’s product monograph does not authorize cosmetic use in individuals under 18. Adults of different ages may be candidates depending on their concerns, health history, and treatment goals.
Botox does not require a particular Fitzpatrick skin type and may suit a wide range of skin tones and types. A consultation is essential, particularly for anyone with relevant medical conditions, allergies to botulinum toxin, or an infection at the proposed injection site.
Botox is most effective for dynamic wrinkles caused or emphasized by muscle movement. It does not replace treatments designed to restore lost volume or address significant skin laxity.
Facial aesthetics: Frown Lines • Forehead Lines • Crow’s Feet • Bunny Lines • Chin Dimpling • Selected Brow & Mouth-Area Concerns
Therapeutic uses: Depending on the specific product, indication, and medical assessment, botulinum toxin may also treat conditions such as hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and chronic migraine, when clinically appropriate and within the provider’s scope of practice.
Treatment time: Most cosmetic neuromodulator appointments take about 10–20 minutes, depending on the areas being treated.
Recovery: Generally little to no downtime, and normal activities can usually be resumed immediately. Minor redness, tenderness, swelling, or bruising can occur at the injection sites.
Results: Initial changes may become noticeable within several days, developing further over approximately 1–2 weeks. Results are temporary and commonly last around 3–4 months, although individual response varies.
Your injector will determine whether treatment is appropriate based on your individual medical and aesthetic history.
Avoiding rubbing or massage is particularly important because manipulating the treated area may contribute to unwanted spread of the medication and temporary weakness or drooping.
Dermal fillers are minimally invasive injectable treatments designed to restore or enhance facial volume, improve contours, and soften the appearance of lines and folds. Most commonly, hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are used because HA naturally occurs in the body and binds water, which helps create a smoother, fuller appearance.
Unlike Botox® and Dysport®, which temporarily reduce targeted muscle activity, dermal fillers add volume and provide structural support beneath the skin. Depending on the product and treatment area, fillers can enhance the cheeks, lips, chin, jawline and other areas affected by volume loss or contour irregularities.
At SkinAura, filler treatments are customized to your facial anatomy, proportions, skin characteristics, and aesthetic goals, emphasizing subtle enhancement and natural-looking facial harmony.
The SkinAura approach: Refined. Precise. Individualized. Our focus is not simply on adding volume, but on creating elegant definition, balanced contours and naturally beautiful results.
Suitability depends on the specific filler, product labeling, treatment area, and individual circumstances. Dermal fillers are generally intended for adults, and some regulatory indications specify particular minimum ages. Your qualified injector will determine appropriateness following a consultation.
Fillers can generally be considered for a wide range of skin tones and types. Treatment may need to be postponed or avoided if you have active inflammation or infection in the treatment area, certain allergies, a bleeding disorder, or other medical considerations.
Results vary according to the filler type, amount used, treatment area and individual response. HA fillers are temporary and may require maintenance treatments. Health Canada notes that HA filler effects can last six months to a year or more, depending on several factors.
Cheek Enhancement • Lip Augmentation • Chin Enhancement • Jawline Definition • Nasolabial Folds • Marionette Lines • Facial Volume Loss • Selected Under-Eye Hollows • Facial Asymmetry
Different filler formulations have different characteristics. Softer fillers may be selected for areas requiring delicate refinement, while firmer, more structured gels may suit areas where greater support and definition are desired. Product selection is always based on the treatment area and your individual anatomy.
Treatment time: A filler appointment may take approximately 15–60 minutes, depending on the number of areas treated and the complexity of the treatment plan.
Recovery: Minimal downtime. Most people can return to many normal activities shortly afterward. Temporary swelling, bruising, redness, tenderness, or mild soreness are common and may last from several days to, in some cases, longer.
Results: Improvement is often visible immediately, although the area may initially appear swollen or slightly overfilled. As swelling subsides, the final appearance becomes easier to assess.
Every injectable treatment begins with a consultation and facial assessment. We will discuss your goals, review your medical history, and recommend an approach that suits your anatomy.
